Propose after dinner before dessert. It will make the proposal all the more sweet.

Mmm...I say after your dinner dishes are cleared and before the dessert comes. Call ahead and let them know so your waiter doesn't interrupt you at the wrong time! But, um...I would have been so disappointed if I had been proposed to in a restaurant. Please do some research and make it special for her. I say wait till Christmas morning. Give her a puppy with a bow and stick the engagement ring on its collar.

And please don't drop hints or act nervous...it's not as fun to know that it's coming!

If you do it after dinner you can always have the waitstaff put the ring on the dessert - and you know maybe if you're lucky someone at the restaurant will be so touched they'll pay for dinner

I think the best time for a Proposal is when the Desert comes out on the Table.

Don't do it in the resturant. Do something special and meaningful to both of you. If you're going to be so nervous during dinner that you give it away do it before. if you can get though it normally go someplace awesome after and do it.

I think you should like build up the whole atmosphere throughout the dinner..Try to drop hints or something like that. Then when she isn't anticipating ask her for her hand in marriage! Wish you best of luck!
