5 pounds is 80 ounces
80 *fluid* ounces is 10 cups
Since flour is not fluid, I'd say 5 lbs is *about* 8.5 cups.

When in doubt, measure and weigh it out. If you don't already own an electric food scale, you should buy one.
Here you go - and yes I measured it out
3 1/4 cups flour + 2 Tbsp = 1 pound of flour (metric 452grams)
To show it the simplest way
When you take the 3 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp and multiply by 5 (considering you want to figure the amount which equals 5 pounds) you will get a total of 17 3/4 cup + 2 Tbsp or 2260 grams
Just remember that liquid ingredients do NOT have the same measurements as dry ingredients.
In the liquid realm 8oz equals 1 cup, but when you are talking of dry ingredients such as flour, 1 cup of flour is not going to be 8oz...1 cup of flour will weigh 4.75 oz
It's always good to know your math when it comes to cooking!

A lot, but you can't really convert weight into volume unless you know the density of the object.
