All my female cousins and even my sister always cut their own hair in layers this way. What they do is they wash their hair and when it is still wet, they flip their head upside down and brush their hair towards the ground, then they bring it all to the front like you would cut bangs and then cut all of the hair straight. When finished, they flip their hair back and it falls in layers. I am a little nervous because i have ALOT of hair and it has tight waves. What do you think?

omg don't get those scissors out just yet!

cutting your hair like that is not only risky, but if your layers are uneven and weird, they could look hideous up or from the back.

if you have curls or even tight waves, don't cut your hair like this. cutting your hair like how you described is risky as is, but it can be easier with straighter hair. in your case, i sugget a porfessional 100%. i hate getting my hair cut by a professional only because it costs so much, but if you really want to cut your own hair or have someone cut it for you who is okay with scissors follow these tips:

1. have your hair wet (but not dripping what so ever) and make sure its straight. (if you need to straighten it and then dampen it up, do that)

2. ask someone (or do it yourself) to make a perfect part in the middle of your head all the way to the back of your neck.

3. evenly cut front layers only!!! ask someone to make them even in needed.

4. you can cut your own side bangs if needed even though a friends help will really be better.

basically, you need help no matter what, plus if your hair is curly, who needs layers??!!! its pretty as is.

If you have tight curls, even a mistake won't show up too badly. I've cut my own hair and I've found it helps to go slowly, don't cut alot if you are trying a new method. Also, i keep a friend close by for moral support.

this is humorous how a number of those Y!A solutions are so afraid to objective something new. i think of that's a brilliant concept, in fact i will objective it myself. I examine the internet website and the only situation i could do in a distinctive way is the quantity you shrink off. i could initiate off reducing a a million/2 inch off, take your hair out verify the size in case you like it solid. If not positioned it back up and shrink a sprint greater. solid success! in case you like email me and enable me comprehend the way it seems!!
