I have a cold and my nose has gotten raw and scabby under the nostrils. How can I make this heal fast? Should I just keep it clean and leave it alone or do I need to put medicine on it?

Use antibiotic ointment around the raw area before you go to bed, it will moisten it and help it heal faster, good luck, I hope you feel better :)

Try not to irritate it with tissues, etc.
Don't put Vick's vapor rub on your nose. Vaseline is a petroleum based product which is not wise to use, either.

Shea butter is natural and healing. Balms are good especially with healing essential oils. Check your local health food store for advice on a natural healing product.

You should put Carmex on it. Its that stuff you see in the checkout lane with the yellow lid and the white bottom. It is like amazing. It will clear up your nose over nite.
When my son was a little boy, he would chap his lips really bad by licking his lips and chin. I put Carmex on it before he went to bed and it would be cleared up in the morning.

I usually just use my chapstick. When I'm sick I'll just grab whatever is on my bedside table. Luckily it works. Feel better :)
