I'm casually dating a guy who says he doesn't want a relationship right now. He also says he never sleeps with more than one person at a time. I'm confused...isn't that a relationship? Can this casual relationship we have now turn in to something more given time? How much time does it ususally take?

He sounds like a jerk. Why waste your time dating someone who isn't interested in a relationship, but has sex with people without relationships? No,sleeping with 1 person at a time means nothing. If you keep dating him, eventually you'll want more and he'll say "But I told you I didn't want a relationship!"

As he is clear on where he is taking this pseudo-relationship that you two have right now ... which basically is "nowhere" ... you should never expect anything out of it.

Unless you are on the same page with him then you might as well go and look for someone who has clearer intentions.

The guy may be great, and he may not be going out with anyone else, but if he says he has no plans of going steady in the near future, then he probably won't. Worst case - he may even get someone to replace you with as you eagerly wait for him to come to his senses.

yes,it is possible that given time, the relationship can grow into something more.

Time is an illusion, and when love is involved, doubly so! Patience is a virtue,we could all learn to have more of.

Might i add a thought provocation? If you are seeing a relationship, and he is not, if you are still hungry, that his answers do not satisfy you, then is it not better to speak honestly and clearly about what you desire from a partner, are your needs being met?

This certainly occurs, particularly for the lady. despite the fact that, he has a woman. usually not precisely a recipe for happy ever after. feels like your fidgeting with fire with this one. attempt to not get merely before your self. If all he needs is intercourse, yet you prefer extra. that's a one way value ticket for a broken heart.

If you're sleeping with him it's a relationship. Stop sleeping with him and see what happens. Don't let him use you...
