I have never used botox and wonder what you have used it for, where you had it injected, and does it hurt? Also wondering if you got it and had problems or side effects?

I just had it done for the first ime 4 days ago. The botox injections stung for a millisecond, not much different than pressing, not poking a pin against your skin. I don't think that is pain, just a sensation. The needle is as thin as a hair, if not thinner. It was not bad at all. I also had Restalyn on the same day. That is more of a gel, so a local anesthetic was used for that, on the lower part of my face and around my mouth. I have never smoked, but have had lines around my mouth since my early 20's. The gel was the best option for these . Anyway, I did not bruise at all from the botox, but I did bruis a bit from the Restyln. The bruises are not quite gone yet. My lowere face was a bit sore afterwards, for most of the day. Bottom line is that I can't wait until I can have it again. The years that came of my face is amazing. The sting (and crackle) of botox is nothing, nothing, nothing compared to the wonderful feeling of seeing a face that looks so much more ...peaceful, no worry lines. I am thrilled! And I am not old yet, but I looked it.

Botox injections are done in my office. First you must realize that they are in fact poison. You can have multiple injections of small doses in *problem* areas....most often in the forehead area, for worry lines. What the injections do is temporally paralyze the muscle, which in turn can relax the crease. Generally our patients will receive between 30 to 40 injections at a time which will cost $350.00 to $450.00. If successful the treatment Will last 3 to 6 months. I have never had this procedure do to me personally, but have consulted with many patients that have, and yes it does cause some discomfort, but they must think it is worth the pain and the cost, as they keep coming back for more.

I had 10 shots injected in the back of my neck for neck pain. It didn't hurt at all. In fact i was in and out of the doctors office in less than 5 minutes. I had no side effects and returned to my normal activities right after it was done.

If you dont feel comfortable, don't use it. You should never make yourself do something you are going to regret, try using bare minerals it should clear wrinkles. If you break out alot use bare minerals but if you dont try using a face makeup in your local drug store.
