The anatomical position of the liver in the body is immediately under the diaphragm on the right side of the upper abdomen. The liver lies on the right of the stomach and makes a kind of bed for the gallbladder (which stores bile).
Hepatitis is characterised by malaise, joint aches, abdominal pain, vomiting 2-3 times per day for the first 5 days, loss of appetite, dark urine, fever, hepatomegaly (enlarged liver) and jaundice (icterus, yellowing of the eyes and skin). Some chronic forms of hepatitis show very few of these signs and are only present when the longstanding inflammation has led to the replacement of liver cells by connective tissue; the result is cirrhosis. Certain liver function tests can also indicate hepatitis.

Your liver is sort of to the side and abck. Depending on the kind of hepatitis, and the severity of the damage done to the liver, it can hurt all the time, or just after eating fatty things.
Go to google images and look up liver. A pic will surely show the placement of the liver.
And see a doctor to find out answers to this question if you are in pain. he;atitis is not small thing and needs treatment. I had it years ago and have no after effects now. Got good treatment and was in hospital for a few weeks in England. thank you National Health Service.

Your liver is near the bottom of your right rib cage. There are different types of hepatitis, so the treatment and how you feel may vary. Abdominal pain and nausea can be problems with some types of hepatitis.
Check out this webmd page for infor on what hepatitis is. http://www.webmd.com/content/article/8/1680_54305.htm

Under the bottom of your breastbone. Where your bottom ribs meet in the middle of your chest.
No it usually doesn't hurt.
