I'm considering traveling in a few months. packing my bag selling the rest and seeing the world. would at least be a better view than my rotten neighbors and their 5 years olds tantrums. check out this site just found it http://www.couchsurfing.com/ you can travel all over the world sleep on peoples couches and ge to meet all sorts of funky people. suicidal thoughts yup i get those... i think people that claim they never have them are liers... i think they are fairly common. oh i also make art...this week its cermic pots. i dont meet people either... i gave up on that. so i stay in a lot. play on the net work on projects write. once in a while when i need a boost i go get ice cream. i take myself to movies. i work out too. be yoru own best buddy.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I want to kill myself on the off chance of being reincarnated into a better life. But with my luck I'd get stuck an an infinite void of unconsciousness, and that would suck big time.
Sometimes m outgoing, and I can get my *** out of bed and meet some interesting people. Sometimes I'd rather not be bothered. I'm as twisted as they come. I look at it this way. As long as I have a challenge to face, I have a purpose.
Currently I'm a college senior studying computer science. I have a gf ( who can sometimes be more than I can handle ), and I work part time. I like to exercise, such as breakdancing and martial arts.
Just do something, anything. It all starts with getting out of bed, taking a shower, and getting dressed. After that, the world is yours.

What besides these substances make you happy? Was there something you used to enjoy but don't do anymore? A sport, hobby, activity, etc? Doesn't matter if your good at it, you just need to find something you enjoy.
To find a true "high" and not an artificial one you need to find a purpose your purpose in life. Do you have a life goal? What do you want to do with your life? Then what do you need to accomplish it? More education? A career? Volunteer work? Join a group or club to meet more people and make friends that don't drink or do drugs. There are tons of clubs and groups out there in all kinds of different activities etc. There are many groups that don't involve religion.
Do what makes you happy while respecting yourself enough not to abuse it. Maybe you could help others who are addicted?

I work for a very friendly coffee shop where I get to meet interesting people everyday. I also read a lot about anything I am curious about, from WW1 to sex. I also talk to anyone that wants to have a conversation, about anything, just to have a little interaction with people. I don't think that drugs or alcohol are necessary to have a good time, I just try to be happy.

Well, I have a job I like a lot that I went to school for. I read & go out with people. Join a club or take a class that you are interested in. That's a great way to meet people & it's fun! Exercise is very important because it gives you a good high! Chocolate is good! Make a difference to someone else - it sure makes you feel good, too!

Sports man. Take to swimming, rock climbing, rowing, tennis, weights, whatever. Join a club, If you are in a big city there ought to be plenty around. OR
Set a target to build your body...join a gym. You will meet tons of people and most of these people would not be into drugs or alcohol since they are into health.
Find a workout buddy. Before you know you will have friends who are cool, in shape and dont do drugs.

Find a pet somewhere! Dogs that you raise from a puppy are always happy to see you, never insult you, and don't complain when you talk too much. Cats will always provide warmth and coziness, and they can help take care of any pest problems you have. Pets are also great ways to meet people. Just get a furry little companion and you will be happier!

try volunteering in the community. Work at a soup kitchen, a food bank, the humane society, whatever... get out there and give your time to someone else who has it worse than you.
Firstly, the rewards for giving to society can really cheer you up, knowing you are making someone else's day a little better.
Secondly, it reminds you that your life isn't so bad, and maybe you should stop moping about.
Get out of the house and do something SELFLESS.

you can try to give yourself some time alone to calm down. talk it out to a friend you really trust might work to. if its kind of like an addiction or is one maybe you should try support from friends or slowly take yourself off it and you will probably be able to manage without it. if that doesn't work then it might be better to see a doctor for depression if it makes you suicidal. not good. believe me. i definitely think talking to someone would make it alot better though. as you talk it out it kind of helps calm you down a little especially if its someone whose going to tell you not to alot. then you'll think about them more before you do. im not sure if it will but i hope it helps:)
