It could be cherry eye, maybe it just is not as progressed as the pictures you have seen. But it really could be anything, you would have to get it evaluated by a vet to know for sure. And i'm sorry, but i have no idea what it would cost to get fixed, but at the vet they can give you an estimate for the costs.

It may be allergic, but it may also be Cherry eyes.. you need to go to the vet to verified..
my dog used to have cherry eyes for the past few years..it's actually a small lump of pink flesh that poped up at the corner of the eyes or at the tear glands..
it will affect the apperance of the eyes ( however, the dog remains cute!!).in mild cases, it should not affect the sight of the dogs and caused the dogs any discomfort.. cherry eyes is inherited..
however, it is encouraged to do a day surgery.. in case the glands dry up and affect the sight of it.. (as according to my vet). better seek a vet's advice..my dog has cherry eyes for near 3 years when i finally decided to removed it since the lump became bigger..it will be easier for the dog to recover if the surgery is performed earlier.but still, it might just be allergies.. so good luck to you and your dogs..
i spent less than US600 to the surgery and follow up visits.. i live in asia, so i'm not sure about your side. the vet i went to is slightly more expensive than other clinics, do call up various clinic to check out the price, and do a comparision if you do not want to spend so much.. i'm sure there are cheaper clinics..

It still may be cherry eye, my Boston had it and it was just a little red in the corner I thought it was just an infection. There are two ways to fix it, one is for them to stitch down the third eyelid, (expensive) I was suckered into this and paid about $700. Or you can get that eyelid removed for alot cheaper. It wasnt until I had the other one done that I was told it was ok to just remove that lid. But a vet can tell very easily if it is cherry eye, I would recommend to take your dog in.

The best thing to do when there is any health problem with your dog is to take her to the vet! There are vets at animal shelters who cost less, but they are not always equipped to handle every health problem and may have to refer you to someone else.

Since it is varying in the amount of swelling, there is a good chance of it being allergy related. But, better safe than sorry!

you should call a vet and describe what his eye looks like and do what the vet says you might have to get special medication if its infected but it may be nothing, if you must get medication im not sure the cost
