I have a feeling that Boulder will continue to have mixed transportation including walking, biking, mass transit and cars. I bet the primary transportation will still be cars - people enjoy the freedom and ease of movement that automobiles allow. I am hopeful that Boulder will continue to offer more options for mass transit, pedestrians and bicycles. However with our variable weather, sometimes long distances to stores and the limited carrying capabilities presented by options other than automobiles (it is hard to carry 8 bags of groceries and then stop by the liquor store to pick up a 12 pack without a car), cars are here to stay for a long time.

Walking because there is no mass transit from my living room to my toilet and I don't plan on laying rail in the next 20 years to get there either.
