Curious, I have been following some of your questions for sometime now, even answered a few with my old account. This is just an honest advice, there is something very wrong with your relation. I don't mean to intrude, but if all of what you said is true, the least that can be said is that you are in a non trusting marriage and I can't see this ever working. On one hand, according to your accounts, he is in love with someone else (which apparently is not reciprocated). On the other hand, you seem to use the green card as a leverage on your relation. You keep putting off this decision (you said it yourself) and it would be frustrating for anyone trying to start a life with you. Even if he is fully committed to you and would decide to leave if your marriage fails, your attitude concerning this would destroy the relation. How can you marriage ever work?
The only way for you to ever know for sure, would be to let him get his permanent papers and see if he sticks around. Of course, it could (and probably will) backfire and he could dump you as soon as he gets them. Anyway, I think it is more than time that you decide, either one way or the other and stick with that decision. I hope you good luck either way.

OK I get married a year ago. I love my wife. But with this immigration law if you don't know what will happen tomorrow? I pressured my wife to get green card just to be safe for me and her. She understood and i still don't have it ( but its long story the can denied your paperwork and green card for even small think not drugs or alcohol) but we are happy and i hope they will change the law it did not change how long time before? You have to update and upgrade laws America not just keep them. There are some laws (still valid) like you cant ride your horse front of the church at 7 AM Sunday and more and more if you are not changing the law then one day you have a big problem. (same like homework) good luck. With papers you have more opportunity. Just go to the bank and try to get some money (maybe lucky day) and if they will ask you for some valid ID you just oh I forgot them in my car and you leave. So maybe another day.

What a terrible situation for you! First, you have to ask yourself if you really truly love him enough. Second, when you file a petition for him (called an I-130) he gets conditional permanent resident status for two years. If you two stay together for two years, then you go through an interviewing process in which Immigration tries to figure out if you two really love each other or if this is a fake marriage just so he can get his residency. Sometimes aliens make it all the way through those two years married and being faithful to a spouse they don't love, just so they can get their permanent resident status. Once they have that, you can't change your mind, and he can get divorced from you and file an I-130 to bring over his sweetheart that he really loves from his own country. Maybe he really loves you for you, but you have to go with what you feel, otherwise you are rolling the dice.

What if he did marry you just to get his papers? Are you going to postpone getting the papers forever just so he won't leave you? Do you want to be married to someone who just married you for his green card? I'd be prepared as much as possible for a divorce as soon as you do eventually get his green card. If he doesn't leave you, you were just paranoid. If he does leave you soon after, good riddens!

Wow. Sounds like he married you for paper; if it would be for love, he wouldnt pressure you to get his papers done; he would go his way rather than you doing the runaround. Just think about this twice.

that is something that only you can anwer. However, if you do decide to help him put he will only receive a temporary status and if you discover that he is using you, you can always suspend the process with immigration. Is important to know, his current status in the US also, you can log in the uscis webside and see with his alien number.

Now that you have married him, it is a bit late to ask. You do the research on a man's motives before the marriage.
