im 16 years old and i way 184 pounds

You obviously dont understand how many calories you are burning a day. Because even when you sit and sleep, you still burn about 60 calories per hour.

So at the very least you are burning 1440 calories.

If you want to loose weight, you must eat less than 600 calories a day. I fyou wnat to gain weight, eat more than 600 a day. Makes sense. Or to stay at 184, eat just 600. Are you a girl or a boy? If you can get active and burn more than 600, you can eat more.

One more thing: some calories are not good nutrition. Candy bars give you calories - sometimes 200 each, but the nourishment is very small. Your body needs healthy calories, not JUNK FOOD. 200 calories of carrots, cooked greens, and a slice of brown bread toast is much better for you than a candy bar.

You can get books on diet and nutrition from your school library. Don't go dieting without help from someone who can monitor your eating to make sure you get enough nourishment. You could get ill.

it depends on how tall u r and you should take in about 1500 calories a day
