You will need to take the Metro North which is at Grand Central Terminal. To get there from Penn Station, take the 1,2, or 3 train from Penn Station (34th Street), north one stop to 42nd Street. Then, take the Shuttle (S Train) one stop to Grand Central. From the station you can exit directly into Grand Central Terminal.

Check the MTA website for the Metro North schedules to New Rochelle.

you cant ,you must go over to grand central station and take the metro north line there
