I asked this to my gf cos she was being distant, and i wanted to know whether she still felt the same way about things, but it seemed that she may have felt pressured and thought i was clingy, cos she ended up pushing for a break.

No l don't believe that should have put her off. It is perfectly normal for a guy or girl for that matter to want to know where they stand in a relationship. Perhaps if you haven't been going out for all that long, she may have felt you were putting pressure on her. Your best bet is just ask her and explain to her why you asked. Tell her your concerns without being too full on. Hopefully this will help. Good luck

I think its a good thing if the guy asks what is going on. It shows he is concerned. As long as you are not asking constantly - i mean if you ask when it looks like something is not okay, or she looks upset or distant.

If she pushed you away, I guess she was just waiting for a reason to do that. If you still like her, talk to her again at some point and find out why she wanted the break.

Girls will usually say that nothing is wrong, even if something terrible has happened. If you are game, then keep asking her until she tells you, but keep your voice calm. She will come around when she realises you are interested to know, and will tell you.

I think that its that you asked what was going on. But it depends on how much you asked. And also if you are clingy? That can be a problem too. This has recently happened to me and my boyfriend. Like in the last few weeks. So I reccomend that you give her personal time, and dont be clingy. And let her have time with her girl friends. That helps. Just make sure her friends like you or else that can mean trouble for you.

I wouldnt mind a bit if my man asked me that. Its healthy to try to understand whats really going on every now and then before it goes out of hand. Maybe shes been meaning to say it out and thought that was the best time to tell.

A break can sometimes result in a positive side-effect.
It could bring the two of you closer than ever after both learn how to appreciate and cherish or you could find yourself a better half
along the way.

I tot that only happens to girls, most probably you are really quite clingy, or she had found another one she thinks is better then you , girls want guys to be nice, yet give them time to sort things out , this works with guys too, put yourself in her shoe, imagine you are her, and what you will do. Don't be to hurry to get a promise from me when she is not ready yet.

It wouldn't bother me if my guy asked me that. It just sounds to me like she wanted a break and this gave her a reason to tell you.

Treat her the way that she is treating you. She will freak and the tables will be reveresed. If she dose not react something is wrong!
