my cat, Fluffy, is getting on my last nerve. every time i come home, there is a new suprise waiting for me in a different place. every time i discover one, i immedietly take her and rub her paws in the litter box. we clean the box regularly, and it's not the fact that we moved, cause she did it in our old house also. this is making me angry............
HELP ME!!!!!!!

Maybe she doesnt like where her litter box is. My cats wouldnt go in the basement of my old house because the floor was always cold and moist. They're animals too and want to like their environment where they do their business. Try moving your litterbox in a more private place that she might like better. Maybe putting a cover on it would help, or possibly changing the type of litter she uses. I hope this helps a little bit.

First of all, don't rub their paws or anything else in it.
If the cat has a good litter box in an accessible area, yet continues to not use it, there must be a good reason.
Cats like to poop/pee in a dry substance, like litter, and they like to bury it. So the fact that your cat isn't using it's litter box means there is something wrong.
Either it doesn't like the litter you've chosen or maybe the location of the litter box isn't appropriate.
Also, sometimes cats that are unhappy will do this. That's why you don't punish your cat for doing this, because it could just make matters worse.
When your cat goes somewhere other than it's litter box, clean up the mess with a paper towel, and then put that in the litter box and show the cat. Clean up the mess very well. If your cat continues to do this you should contact your vet.

I had (here's hoping!) the same problem....over a week ago I moved her litter box upstairs to a part of the dining room where it's hidden...I know it's sound crazy to do so but I was at the end of my rope...she never went anywhere where I could see it until the smell would accumulate and wow - I don't even have to say how bad that is. So far it's word worked, I figure by the places she used to drop she needed the box hidden but 'near' us. I always kept the litter box very clean too. Not sure if this is any help at all...or that I'm so excited to share it with someone...perhaps just reassurance you are not alone. Good luck Jennie. Bella

If I were you, I would first find out at what time of the day or night the cat poops - doesn't have to be exact time. If your cat poops in the mornings, then close her up in the bathroom or laundry room or garage with her litter box in the mornings. Let her out after she poops. Since you are 13, I assume you are in school all day. Then you need to keep kitty in the enclosed area (laundry room or garage will be good as long as she has her litter box and fresh water to drink, and a place to curl up and sleep). Don't allow her inside the living areas of the house until she has done her business. One of my cats has learnt that if I close him up in the bathroom and say, "pee-pee a pee pee poopoo" then he has to do exactly that in order to be "rewarded" by being let out to eat and go walkies outside with me. Maybe you should try that.

first make sure theres no medical problems but i would pick up the fecies and put it back in the litter box so the scent stays there, cats like to mark there territories also spay or neuter your pet it makes a huge difference on there attitude!! i used to get a water bottle and dpray my cat near it face to let them know when they are bad sounds kind of mean but itd just water. helps to keep them off the coach

If you have a laudry room or even the bathroom would work but the cat and the litter box in there until she learns that what it is for..is she the only cat you have.

make sure her litter box is clean. some cats won't use it if there is already poop or pee in it. so each time she goes i would clean it out....

How old is your kitty? Maybe she can't hold it to make it to the litterbox. There might be a problem with your kitty. I would talk to the vet.
