I registered online for babys-r-us. but next to some of the items that i have asked for, it says "This item is temporarily unavailable." What does this mean, and will poeple still be able to buy it somehow?

I worked the baby registry desk in the orland park, il. store. It means that the warehouse is out of it, but expecting more. People can buy it online, since that way can 'grab' the item from other warehouses. Have a great shower!!!

When you register online a lot of thing are online items only. I did the same thing and found out later that most of the things I wanted are only available online. The best thing is to get a copy of the register from the store and take a look and see what it says. When I did mine there was a "y" next to items that were not in the stores. When it says -This item is temporarily unavailable. on the online copy it means the warehouse doesn't have it but your local store might have it. The best thing to do is leave it the way it is and go to the store and get a copy of the registry and then see if you need to make any changes. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I had the same problem with my registry. I had registered for some stuff online and the rest in the store. If it goes to clearance it said temorarily unavailable. You may want to check with the store and see if there is a particular item do they plan on bringing it back or is there another item similar.

Usually, that mean that the store you registered at have run out of that item. It implies that the item is on order, if some one tries to get it later, the store plans to have it in stock. More importiant it means that that particular item is still avaliable at another branch. For places like babys-r-us, this is GREAT. Since most people will see you register at the branch of the store near them, and they should be able to find that item.

It means its out of stock.
Some stores may still be carrying the discounted merchandise. But, it won't be available online. Usually at Babies R Us it's because the clothes are out of season. They are forever changing the baby layettes there.
If it's something like onesies I'm sure people will be smart enough to know to get you onesies anyway. Same with socks and such. I had some people who just didn't know what to do so I got gift cards.

I had that happen with our wedding registry. It just means they are out of stock. So no, people will not be able to purchase the item until the stock is replenished.

The item is on backorder, but should be in stock sometime. The items may be available in some stores.
