I just got back from the dentist and my gums and teeth are rather sore. Is tea tree oil better to use or oil of oregano? And how do I apply either of these? Straight oil or mix with oil and apply?

I would personally not use either one of those. Tea tree oil will kill scabies on skin and I wouldnt want it on my gums. Oil of oregano sounds more like food, and if you really really want those remedies, I think that one will be more appropriate. Otherwise, gargling warm water with a little bit of salt will give you some comfort. The soreness is merely from the scaling (cleaning)of your teeth. The soreness is very temporary.

I wouldnt do either.. only because i've never heard of these things helping anything Dental related!

BUT... what you can do is go to Walmart or some place like that and buy some... Oral-Gel... is a numbing agent, containing Benzocaine. It's what we use in office, to numb patients gums before we give the shots! It works....

BOTH OF THESE ARE ESSENTIAL OILS AND ARE VERY STRONG AND SHOULD BE USED ONLY FOR THE SKIN WHEN THERE ARE SCRATCHES AND SCRAPES.
NEITHER ONE SHOULD BE USED.
WHEN USED FOR THE SKIN THEY MAY BE USED STRAIGHT FROM THE BOTTLE.
