Yes. I lost more than 25 lbs. on Weight Watchers, combined with daily exercise. If you stick with it, you will definitely lose. The great thing about this program is that a. it assigns "points" to everything you eat and gives you a daily point limit to adhere to based on your weight. b. it teaches you portion control and c. it allows you to "budget" your food points so you don't have to deprive yourself of the things you like to eat (in moderation, of course). Weight Watchers is not really a diet. It's a lifestyle change in the way you approach food. Keeping a log of what you eat, and going to the meetings for weekly weigh ins, is a great way to keep track of your progress and get the emotional and psychological support you need to stay on the program.

No but I know some people that are and it has worked for them. I think if you take it seriously and really stick to the program you can make it work. Oh and by the way the people I know that it is working for are not really the type to combine it with an exercise program.

Yes, and yes

I joined again in October. It is a great diet. the first week you lose quite a lot, but after that it's between half a pound and two pounds a week. Very very healthy, doctor recommended, and you can easily be full on the diet. There are lots of options, there are no off limit foods, I highly recommend.

I haven't tried it, but have known many people who found it very effective and a positive experience. Some did well on WW when nothing else seemed to work for them (or they couldn't make themselves stick with anything else).

Good luck!
