it's neither wrong nor awkward if a girl asks a guy out because it is being straightforward about your feelings rather than beat around the bush abt the matter and wait for unknown results thus causing more anxieties..It seems that more guys nowadays are more shy as they fear rejection..And it's up to the girls to carve out their own path to happiness 'cause afterall, we girls have the unique sixth sense of knowing who likes us and such..

It is not wrong for a girl to ask a guy out. We no longer live in the 1800s.
Some gals might feel awkward, but only because they are not fully liberated from the old way of thinking.

It is absolutely not wrong. But it might be awkward depending on how well you know the guy. It also depends on how open the guy is. But seriously, I think, it's only a date; not like you are going to marry him or what, so have no fear gal. Do what you think is right.

well it may be awkward to the girl asking, but for the guy he'll be pleasantly surprised. pleasantly surprised as in, not in the way of his eo boosting, but surely, surprised at the spontaneity of the lady.
you can always play it real cool, you know something like: Hey we should definitely be doing this again, i like your company and perhaps we could do coffee this weekend? you know, say something casual that would put the two of you at ease.
guys find it hard to turn down a nice lady, but if he does, i'm sure he should be gracious enough to fix another date where he could make it.
Good luck!

It is perfectly alright. But do take a cautious approach as you do not want him to have the impression that you are easy. Ask him out once and just be yourself and get to know each other better, if he likes it, the future outing will be initiated by him. (Do note that this may differ accordingly for different culture like asians and the europeans)

No! Girls asking a guy out isn't wrong! It's just that most girls think it's supposed to be the guy that asks the girl. Just because you think it's wrong to ask a guy out, doesn't mean it's true. I say go for it!

Hmmm. I guess it's not a problem at this moment? But i still feel it's best to "test the waters", due to the guy u r interested might be attached, worst of all, married! U might wanna check out on him, i.e find out more abt him b4 asking him out.If u noe where he hang out, where he works or u know who he hangs out with? Try to gather some info on him, otherwise beware of getting rejected, unless ur "sixth sense" tells u he might be interested to noe u too.Dun rush thru' to noe him. Some guys are great but not great when u r together.Haha... Currently, i m oso thinking to noe a guy, but gut feelings tells me to "slow down" a bit. Cuz good things hard to come by, good guys hard to "woo" oso... Lol... Best of luck. :)

No, its perfectly fine. Just that it has been always a social norm that a guy should always take the initiative in dating, marriage proposals and many other stuffs that it seems 'out' if a girl does it likewise. Just my 2 cents worth

It is definitely not wrong for a lady to ask a guy out.In a modernised and fast changing environment, we have to adapt changes to suit our modernised world.By asking the guy out(whether he reject or not) , the lady is actually have a lot of determination/courage to do that. Its better to make the first move than never to make any move at all.
