its one thing to feel sorry for another person because of your own beliefs and observations, but Ive known a few people who were perfectly content, with familys that adored them in spite of physical or mental limitations.
Its a sad sad issue whatever would lead a person to want to take their own life, and theres probably a lesson to be reflected on -- just learning to accept yourself is good enough to get you through the world.
Now, youre question seems to be aimed at if there is GOD, then how can HE allow this to take place.
As well as the many children that die of hunger, and the many more that die amidst the violence that takes place.
They are where they are because of GODs Will. Whether they stay that way is the freedom HE's given each one of us to do something about it.
so while you are questioning, analyzing or what not, why not take an effort to help these people.
Its too easy to point the finger and place blame, its alot more difficult to take action. And until youve taken action for whatever you are complaining about, you havent earned your say as far as Im concerned.

This answer is simple. A question like this shouldnt even be adressed. The reason there is evil in the world, like any disease, disorder or anything, is so that we can recognize the good. It's like yin and yang. we cant have one without the other. Evil must be in this world. its a necessity. If there were not evil in the world we would live in a perfect society and that would take away the full meaning of life. The meaning of life is to love one another and come to know Christ. If there were no evil, we would know no good therefore leaving us not searching for anything and would cancel out the meaning of life-a search for God.

When God first created us, the world was perfect, with no sickness. God gave us free will, and we messed things up by sinning. Don't blame the sin part on someone else, because even if Eve hadn't eaten the fruit, the next generation would've sinned. We are sinful creatures. I'm not saying that the people with horrible diseases somehow "ordained" it upon themselves to get them, but its a messed up world. Think about it: What would this world be like if it was perfect? At first, it may sound appealing, but it could never be, because we would mess things up. Over time, because of genetic factors gone wrong (Perhaps b/c of substance abuse, or many factors) we end up with disease. Do you think God will just take these away? No. Hes letting us have free will. If he took these diseases away, he'd also have to take away sinful things mankind enjoys. Hes letting us choose. And when we choose to follow Him, we still live in a sinful world, but afterwards, we will live in a perfect world. I hope this helped.

I would suggest that you look into the suffering that Jesus went through, and then contemplate the truth that Jesus is God. Therefore, we have a God who can truly empathize with the worst pain and suffering and death. But, He also shows us hope with His Resurrection from the dead. Jesus died on the cross with His arms open wide. This is to show us that He has opened up the gates of Heaven for those who will follow in His footsteps and do His will.

Let me get this straight...
There is a disease therefore God does not exist...
You have lost me somewhere.
All through scripture is it taught that sickness, disease and deformity are present because of sin. It was part of the consequences that followed the disobedience of the first man, Adam.
It is also why the Bible says the when Jesus went to the cross, besides paying the price for sin, He also paid the price for sickness and disease. Isaiah 53 tells us the "he bore our sickness and diseases, and by His stripes (meaning the wounds from the whipping He received) we are healed". 2 Peter says , "He himself bore our sins in his own body on the cross, and by his stripes we were healed". Jesus promised in Mark 15 that among the "signs" that would mark his people was that "they would lay hands on the sick and they would recover". David in Psalms 103 prophecies of that Jesus that "he forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases".
There is a simple solution to your question - God has provided an answer to trimethylaminuria and any other diseases. It is called "healing" which is available to anyone who comes to God in faith for it. I have seen it operate hundreds of times for all kinds of sickness and diseases.
Rather that running from God because a person is sickness, they need to run to him for healing.

i think, that those who have trimethylaminuria have a perfect opportunity to shine as a light in the world despite their condition. That they have an opportunity to express love, joy, and happiness BECAUSE OF CHRIST in their life, despite their condition. Job, despite his condition, continued to worship God and even to this very day is an inspiration to millions of people reading about his life and how he dealt with it. It is not God's fault if these people deal with their situation negatively, instead of looking to God to either heal them, or to use them to bring others into the light.
Many people go through rough times in their life, and if they can look upon someone who is as you say above, and see that they are still happy and full of peace and joy because of Christ, despite their condition, it will lift others up, making them realize that their condition is not nearly as bad as those who suffer from trimethylaminuria.
All things work to Glorify God, to bad many people don't let this happen.
In His Holy and Precious Name, Jesus Christ

People don't believe in "God" they just believe. if you were a parent then you'd know what Miracles really are. Everyone is different some ppl adjust, some don't some are born whole some are not. some are born perfect some "inperfect" I don't think Nature makes mistakes, every human born every created by nature is perfect in it's own way. fishy or not. if you were born with 9 fingers are you a mistake? did "God" do this to get back at you or at humanity as a whole?

God warned Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but they didn't obey; and it has been downhill since then. We have a sinful nature from these first two people--our ancestors. Because of this sinful nature, we sin, we get sick, and the whole universe is decaying.

I know this sounds odd, but I think we create some of these illnesses ourselves, by certain actions we do, thoughts we think, and they have a karmic effect on the whole world.
