She had a large inflamation in her intestines and it would have cost a lot of money to even find out what was really wrong with her. So the humane thing to do was to put her to sleep.

Hi There: I am sorry to hear that you lost your best friend. I know how much it hurts to loose a pet that you have had for a long time. You can rest assured that your dog will be in Heaven. The bible tells us so.
Isaiah 11:16 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

What’s a “good dog”? For me a bad dog is one which barks constantly while I’m trying to watch a DVD. Such will be thrown into the great lake of fire for sure. A good dog is one that doesn’t bite or stink. Bull dogs are doomed, and poodles (especially the Maltese sort) are going to hell right after they live their life of being useless though somewhat cute things.

The word says that "The spirit of the animal goes into the ground when it dies."

However, God will one day remake/restore the earth to its original perfection. On that new earth, there is no reason to believe that he would not resurrect your beloved pet. Nothing is impossible with God and we know he cares for and deeply loves all of His creation. Not a sparrow falls to the ground beyond His notice.

Grace and Peace to you.

Dear, I am so sorry. I have also had to put to sleep a few of my beloved pets as well. I will be honest and tell you that I don't know...but I do hope...that we will once again see our dear companions.

I pray that the Lord touch and heal your heart of your pain and loss.

I like to think so. It makes me feel better to know I have a chance to meet up with a few "friends" I've had over the years.
I'll say a prayer for you and your friend.

I am sorry that you and her had to be in pain, and I am glad that you made a loving decision. Still, I'm afraid that dogs don't go to heaven, because they don't have sould. But you did the right thing in ending her suffering.

You did the right thing....you don't want your friend to suffer and and the procedure may not have even prolonged her life or made it better in terms of how she feels. I'm sorry for your loss though....that's tough. Of course she went to heaven! :)

Yes dogs go to heaven. She's probably playing ball and drinking for the eternal toilet right now!
