My cat just passed away Monday, my bf's grandma is on her way out tonight and his best friend passed on Friday. Bf's uncle also passed 2 weeks ago and his mom is having major surgery. That's more than 3 but geez, when does it stop?

I think the death in threes thing is a cruel and thoughtless thing that someone thought up when they had nothing better to do. I guess what you believe in is what happens to you!

I don't see why it wouldn't. People consider their pets to be important members of their families and are just as close to them as they are to people. There is no reason that this horrible phenomenon wouldn't pertain to them.
I'm sorry about all of your losses. :-( I hope things look up soon!
