I have known this guy for a few years now & he just went through a divorce. He has a daughter which is like a sister to me, but the main problem is he is 40 years older than me (I'm 24 he's 63). I like him, but the age issue kinda bothers me. Do you have any advice of how to deal with the situation? I enjoy being around him & his daughter, but don't know how she would take it or my family if we got serious? Please help...thanx

If possible try to remain a friend to him and his daughter. But if you or he has an attraction for the other than leave it alone. He is old enough to be your grandfather and as such you would have nothing in common socially, emotionally or any other way. I'm certain that his daughter would not forgive you and your family would be very upset if you started a relationship with him. Fact is you'd be a young widow and if you did ever have any children of your own he would never be able to do anything with the kid as it grew up and needed it's father to take it to games, theater or whatever. Pass on this one and try and find someone much closer to your own age.

The Vietnam struggle used to be used to be already underneath method whilst the U.S. jumped in. Why? They did with the intention to try a stability of energy among the West and Communism. They concept they might win or no less than include it. However, they did so on a preface that at present is commonly admitted to had been faked. It's the ones WMD no longer them WMD. The U.S. or Britain is not dominated by means of hotheads so fast to nuke anybody status of their method. There are a couple of governments within the former soviet block who now have nuclear guns and as a substitute of handling one nation, the USSR, now there are approximately a dozen to negociate with. If you assault a nation which has nuclear guns and they're loosing very badly, they have got not anything to free and would not hesitate to make use of them. Remember, they are instructed by means of their leaders that the following existence is greater than this one. In that, given the scenario within the Mid-East, they is also correct: It could not be any worse. If the U.S. have been shrewd, they could have taken Saddam out of the nation and held him as a trump card. This is what they did with Napolean. They might continuously placed him again on his Emperor's thone as a puppet ruler and the individuals could have adopted him. They might have performed the identical with ancient Saddam. Rwanda, Rhodesia, South Africa all have fundamental issues. These had been British colonies, no longer American. So some distance, Britain hasn't jumped in both. Bush would possibly not admit he needs to manipulate the sector's economic system by means of invading nations wealthy in oil. I'm no longer satisfied that he needs to manipulate the sector's economic system. There is for sure he is in mattress with colossal trade and has a screw the little man form of mentality. In the case of Iraq, yeah, they'd oil, however Afghanistan did not. All they'd had been a number of ravenous individuals, mountains and a central authority run by means of terrorists supported by means of the Saudi govt. Oh, and supposedly, Osama Bin Laden. It used to be more commonly and nonetheless is a coaching flooring to export terrorism to different lands that they do not trust. You do have a factor that it took endlessly and an afternoon to enter Serbia underneath NATO however a lot faster into the gulf. The motive being no longer simplest the U.S. will depend on oil. At the time, the invasion by means of Iraq into it is neighbor kingdom of Kuwait driven the sector right into a worldwide recession.

Does he like you too ? Put that into consideration first. I think you just are infatuated with him. Do you have anything in common.. Do you enjoy being in the company of his friends and colleges. Being a friend of his daughter maybe he is accomodating you only like another daughter. You have not mentioned if you have the same profession. Are you prepared to be a caregiver to him in a few years ? Think about it first.

This is a hard topic. My neighbor was 23 and married to a 61 YO, had a son by him, and a daughter from a previous relationship. My neighbor's husband died of a brain tumor this summer and she's left to raise her kids by herself. Age is a number, but consider if something were to happen to him.

DON'T get serious with him. He is way too old for you. At your age, there are too many things you would be giving up and never be able to get back. If I were his daughter, I would be very upset. Come on, girl........24 and 63.

You can't help who you like...you can't help who you fall in love with and you'll never know if this is a man you could love...unless you pursue it....

Try it...screw the age difference...Neither one of you will be hurting any one...Remember if anyone does take issue with it..it will be their own problem to deal with.

Good luck!!!
