She called for a break two weeks ago cos she needed to sort her self out and I assumed that it was over as she couldn't give any reassurance as to whether she still felt the sme way about things. I was shattered, but i never contacted her in any form in that time. I now feel like i'm over her, but a couple of days ago she messages me to see how i'm going with my exams and stuff, and that we need to talk after she finished exams - i was distant in my repsonses. I'm confused as to what her intentions are. What should i do?

Sounds to me like your lady friend wants to get back with you. What you need to do now is to think about wether that is what you want or not.

If you do tell her so. If not tell her anyway as in these situations honesty to yourself is the best policy

So she called for a break in the action for a while, nothing wrong with that. Maybe she might want to take things a little slower than how it was going, and felt that a break would slow thing down a bit. People do get scared when they aren't sure of themselves and/or where they want a relationship to go.
I would respond back to her and ask what the problem is/was so it doesn't repeat itself again. This time, just act cool and be a friend until you know how far and at what level she wants to take things to.
Even if this doesn't turn into a loving relationship, you will still have a friend if nothing else....which is better than NOTHING

Let her be. She didn't give you a reason to leave, and if she cared about you she wouldn't have left you hanging like that. If you're over her, then good for you. You deserve someone better who doesn't have an excuse to mess around with someone else.

You sound like you have it under control by letting her have her space and preparing yourself for the worst. Follow your heart...is she the kind of girl you want to spend forever with?
