Pray for them, and realized that no matter what We think of them, Jesus died for them too.

I'm sure many others feel the same way about Christians who hate other religious groups. The problem is that there are more Christians, so there is more danger in being non-Christian in Western society. I see a lot more ignorant harassment coming from people who are Christian than non-Christians, which doesn't send a very good message.

I'm a non-violent person, and I've had to put up with a lot of the Hell-threats and other insults from Christians. I usually just think that I am representing non-Christians (since not many Christians encounter people like me), and I am on my best behavior. I know my scripture, my religious history, and I do not call names or tell others what God thinks of them!

That's good that you admit that you haven't mastered the art of taking this stuff in stride. I get frustrated too sometimes when I see bashing (from anyone directed towards anyone). I just kind of roll my eyes though.

Remember that this person who is bashing does not have the experience that you have as a Christian. He sees it from the outside looking in, and must be overlooked if he gets some things wrong about it. Remember, there ARE unfortunately, some bad representatives of Christianity and of every religion, and the bashers are making their opinions based on those bad representatives. Just strive to be a good representative. Remember that the person is a child of God, whom God loves and has sorrow for, that he bashes others of his children this way without understanding. Think of them like a brother or sister whom you long for them to live the best life possible, and just hope that they come to have a better understanding and tolerance.

well me personally, I don't look as it as an attack from them Eph 6:12 (Spiritual War). I also see there is a person their and whether or not they are being genuine I don't jusge that I just answer the question to the best of my ability and God does the rest.

I was doing this the other night and my brother was sitting next to me, he was less tolerant of most questions.

It all comes down to love I mean Agapae love, a hunger for the hurting, sick, unsaved (sorry others who will read this).

Love is patient Love is Kind, Love is not self-seeking, Love keeps no record of wrong, Love doesn't delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth etc 1 Cor 13

Just basic Christianity.

Get back to basics praise God and ask him to give you a passion for the lost, a passion to love those he loves (which is everyone and breaks his heart that many won't be with him)

Christianity is a work in progress God knows where your at he's the only one you need to worry about, so do try to listen to his wisdom. (it can be hard sometimes when you really don't want to obey - I am still learning about willing obedience)

God bless you that you even worry about it.

Congratulations, keep it up.

press in to God.

Hallelujah.

Sorry for not correcting the spelling and grammar....I'm just that lazy.

No side is worse than the other. There are idiots on both sides. You only perceive the other side to be worse because you disagree with them.

I too, some days want to lose my religion and blast back, It doesn't help the cause of Christ. As believers we are to be a light to the world, where ever we encounter them.I can only speak what I know to be true, and hope a seed is planted in their soul and they are not so hard hearted to be unable to hear the message of Christ. Share is all we can do. Remember they are created in God's image. It is their decision not ours, they will have to answer for themselves. Peace

as you said you're not a great christian no brother Teresa there, lol... patience is the virtue pray to be more patient and you will find patience in all things you do, either great or small. The bible does say to not judge, by wanting to say shut up means that you have judged and decided to want to silence another human.

Let Patience have her perfect work in you, and you will be perfect and entire wanting for nothing.
Just ignore it, go to a question that is worthy of an answer
Don't let it get to you, that is why they do that!!
Don't let them have their way
We need more Christians asking questions other than what is being
asked, the deeper things of the meat of the word
If all of us ask questions, we would be doing a lot better,
including myself.

You remember that those who bash cannot affect how you feel or how you live your life.

Non-Christians contend with it as well. (I do.) I know there are *very* many wonderful, tolerant Christians here, but here are some who are so hateful that I cannot conceive how they can think themselves Christian at all. (I remind myself that they are the minority.)

Don't let it get to you! There will always be haters; don't lower yourself to their level.

: )

Most of the time I see the bashing as immaturity, so it's an eye rolling event ...sometimes I feel sorry for them that they have so much anger.

The whole point of being a follower of Christ is to try to be like Christ in your everyday life. Yes, I do think bad things sometimes, but we must forgive and pray for and love our enemies because God doesn't want them to be lost and He wants us to love all of His children! The best thing to feel for them is love and pity because no matter what anyone does, I want them to come to Christ and be saved.
