Ask someone to tutor you one on one and start with the basics and pratice it everyday so you'll get use to it. I tuotred this one Korean guy and I'm still doing it and he's catching on quite nice lol ^_^. But if you're in China....its gonna be hard to find someone you trust who learns good english but if you just came to America....it wont be that hard. Cll around, look in phonebooks, you'll find someone, but not me lol and also....you could listen to people's conversations and hear their well speaken english and catch on there. GOOD LUCK!

First try to watch as many English "Movie Films" as possible.
The classic ones with Shakespearean actors who have a British
accent. This will train your ear to the sound of the English accent.
Then, start going to places that people only speak English. I don‘t
know where you are, so it is difficult to recommend. I was born in
Scotland, and I do not recommend our accent, nor the Irish. It may
be colourful in tone but it is difficult for a foreigner to understand.

If you can, go to New Zealand. It is a beautiful place
and the people are very nice. Alternatively, go to an
English school, if you have one close to your home,
preferably the schools that teach you by the spoken
word, conversation. If the teacher is English, all to the
better.

Try to think in English, if possible. And read English
books and magazines or newspapers. Good luck!
I hope your efforts will be compensated. If you can get
a job in England, that would be the best and quickest way.
Congratulations for your efforts. It has been nice to exchange
ideas with you. Iain

Firstly there isn't one good way but you should try many different ways to reinforce the things learnt from one way with another way. Reading books and watching movies and listening to music and writing essays will help but the best way I can suggest is to find something you are really interested in and then learn about that thing but do it in English I had a student who loved the NBA and would read or listen to everything he could find about the NBA and his English improved very quickly. Don't worry if you think your English is "not well" because it will get better over time. There is no magic way to learn but there are ways to learn that are not as boring as the textbooks you can get

I think your best bet would be to sign up for classes at your local Adult Education complex and take " English as a second language".
