The A number is every communication you have had with immigration and is a A# followed by an 8 or 9 digit number.

First it is located on the front of your card at the first line below your name, to the right of your photo it looks like this ....A# 012-345-678... Secondly it is also located at the botom of that same card under the Resident Since 01/01/01 and it looks like this ....b2USA1234567890src9876543218<< and finaly on the paper that it came with.
