I wish i could tell this to every person who thinks that toothpaste works for their pimple, it doesnt work,ok? It peals your skin, and makes your face worse even with the pimple you had!
What you can do for that mustach thing there are places where they THREAD the hairs out! its really amazing! the place is called Ziba they have an online web-site that u can go to and they give you all the prices.
Or you can go to any beauty salon and they can wax it off!
Beauty=Pain!
Hope that helped

I have heard that dabbing some toothpaste on a pimple will help to make it go away faster. Not sure why.

Now, for the hair. It annoys me when people say things like "don't shave your legs above the knee because it will grow back thicker and darker if you shave there." Or "after you shave, hair grows back dark or thick."

First of all, how would a hair KNOW to grow back thicker or fuller if it's shaved? It's dead...it's not like flesh that will repair itself. It just keeps growing at the same rate, but when it's gone (after a shave) and it suddenly grows above the skin, it seems to have reappeared faster or darker.

As for plucking, actually I have been told by the lady who does my waxing that the longer you pluck or wax hairs, the finer and thinner they grow back. She started waxing her daughter's legs and underarms when the girl was 10 and she is now 23 and hardly has any hair on her legs or under her arms.

Of course that takes years, but you just plucking some hairs will NOT make them grow back thick and black. At first when they grow back they may look to you a little darker but that is because what is growing out of your skin will be a short, blunt little hair that has not been exposed to the sun and other agents that may lighten it. On the other hand, if you are fair haired, the plucked hair may just grow in blond.

If you have hair on your lip that bothers you, why won't your mother take you somewhere to have it waxed every so often?

If it is just a few, pluck them all you want as long as you aren't going crazy and picking yourself to death!

If it's thick or it really embarrasses you, ask your mom for a wax job at a professional salon.

Don't rub it in your mom's face that she's wrong. Just relax and don't mention it to her!

Toothpaste can help dry out pimples, but do not put it all over your face because it will dry out your skin. Put just enough to cover the pimple over eat pimple, if you just have a few. It you have a lot of acne, try Clearisil Acne Clearing Scrub, it works sooo good!
After plucking/waxing/shaving a few times, hair will start to grow back thicker, darker, and faster. If they are dark hairs, try some facial hair bleaching cream. I know Nair has some and my mom sues it and it works good. Don't use any hair removal creams on your face unless they are specifically made for your face!

Good Luck!

Yes, salicylic acid dries pimples but I don't know that it's in toothpaste. Toothpaste acts more like a mud mask and dries the pimple as it dries.

Hair growing back thicker is just an old wives tale. Most likely it's one your mother has heard for YEARS, and believes. If it were absolutely true, there wouldn't be 100 products to rip the hair from your face out there, on the market.

As for the toothpaste, yes it does dry pimples out faster. Although its no substitute for acne products. The hair thing, yes it grows back thicker and faster.

i dont think toothpaste has salylic acid in it, but it does dry out pimples. And if you pluck your hair it actually grows back thinner over time

I have heard of hair growing back thicker and darker if you shave it but not if you pluck it.

not if you pluck them that only happens if you shave them as a matter of fact if you pluck a hair enough the folicle eventually gets damaged and the hair stops growing
