I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with the previous posts. Jesus was a Jew, so naturally Judaism and Christianity do worship the same God. Islam also worships the same God, though (like Judaism) it considers Jesus a mere prophet. Some also believe (myself included) that the Quran's stories are incorrect interpretations (to put it politely) of the stories contained within the Jewish texts as well as those contained within the Christian Bible.

All three religions have extreme fundamental differences which can hardly be summarized within the scope of this forum. There are much more extensive resources available elsewhere on the web.

I believe the resistance to the idea that all three religions worship the same God is pride. It's almost as if some think that worshiping God is what makes God exist. Isn't THAT an athiest/agnostic ideal? Or maybe some (at a very deep subliminal level) think that God considers ANYONE who worships Him to be correct. That idea is of course ridiculous*. It gives too much credit and power to us. God only knows which religion is correct, though we all have our own personal leanings. All we can do is humbly pray to be shown the truth, and keep an open mind enough to hear His Word.

*(Certain members of our Government belong to Christian religions, yet they also worship a 45 foot tall stone demon owl at Bohemian Grove).

It looks like most of you dont have any information about Islam

Islam considers God belief in Christianity, Judaism and Islam, divine scriptures of Torah, Bible and Quran, and the prophets Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad as the same branches of one divine truth: the religion of God. Given the time order of these religions, Quran, considered as the last testament (sent down in 23 years until 632 A.C) requires all Muslims to believe in all these three scriptures and the previous prophets came with the same basic messages under four main categories:

Now this is the most original and comprehensive approach that one could ever see in any religion. Quran also solves the puzzles and conflicts among three religions by explaining the arguments and giving God's judgements, decisions, and answers to those.

Islam considers Islam, Judaism and Christianity as divine religions that was sent down from the same God. Islam also accepts all these religions naming the connection of them as the religion of Abraham , the father of us, Christians, Jews and Muslims. Thefore, any evidence that indicates one of these religions is truth, also witnesses the truth of Islam

They are different religions, because each believe that God revealed different books to people. First, Judaism. Second, Christianity, third Islam. Each revelation was given to a specific people at a specific time.

To the person before, Zoroastrianism is not an Abrahamic religion.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are the three Abrahamic religions: they all worship the same god (but they all have different names for him). The major differences are as follows:

Jews believe that they are still waiting for a savior; none has come/been sent yet. They also follow the Torah.

Christians believe that there is a savior; his name is Jesus Christ. They follow the Torah as well, but they call it the "Old Testament" and have addition texts that they call the "New Testament."

Muslims believe that there is a savior; his name is Muhammad. They follow the Koran, but I'm not sure if it is includes the Torah or if it is completely separate from it.

They have 3 different religions because everyone has a little difference in their religion. They're a lot alike but not all the same, for instance Mormons believe in the same God as most people believe in but their religion is different from most like they believe that Satan and Jesus are brothers (which they are) but other religions don't. it's just small things like that, that make the religions different.

There is but one ultimate soure to this and any other universes. Over time....a very long time, people recognized this fact, although never saw the original source. When enough people shared a similar perception of the source, religions developed, and leaders set themselves up as the interpreters of this source.

You have not mentioned the philosophies of the East, which are cosidered philosophies, not religions. They propose you find God, by whatever name, within.

Your question is very thought and soul provoking, and I doubt you will find the ultimate answer on the internet. Good luck with this one, it is a life time project!!!!

It's not the same God. Remember Jesus said to those who practiced Judaism, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me." (John 8:37-42)

Not to mention that Islam teaches Jesus never died on the cross, contradicting the entire basis of Christianity.

No...

Jews were the forerunners, their ancestors worshiped the true God. Jesus was born and lived as a Jew, but through his death, he brought a better system open to all men rather than just the family of Jacob.

There is no need for the third and Islam is based on lies and deception, NOT the TRUE God.

Excuse me, that is not so. Jesus said to the Jewish leaders "if you have not the Son, you have not the Father". They called themselves children of Abraham, but Jesus corrected them: "if you were truly children of Abraham, you would hear my voice. But you do not listen to me, because you are of your father, the devil, and you do his works".

Allah is not the God of the bible. Islam says that Allah has no son, that Jesus did not die on the cross, and that Jesus is not the only way to God. Therefore, the God of Islam is not the God of the bible either.

There is only one God, and only one way to God, through His son.
