Sick isn't it - and worldwide! In the 25 years I worked full time employed after staying at home to look after 2 children, I ended up having paid over £350,000 in tax, national insurance, pensions, and now I don't even qualify for the full basic state pension because I didn't work enough years! Of course these days women who stay at home to look after their children get their pensions protected by the state - good one that!

In the UK you can pull up information about all the 17 [+++ more by now] government departments - their mission statements, purpose etc [not] and how much they cost. search gov.uk sites

Of course there are things called 'quangos' which are set up as and when the prime minister and his/her lot want to screw up more of our money. They cost billions.

Then local councils - ours has just revalued all our properties [Wales] and on top of that killing they had the arrogance to increase the annual % and employ two more staff with the titles 'Relocation Facilitators' and jammy salaries to go with it, to introduce people moving into the county/country on the Welsh Language, where to go, what to do, education, health etc etc and how to become involved in the culture of Wales. Don't know how that will go down with the local Islamic Fundamentalists and people dressed from head to toe in Black - not very Welsh me thinks!

Something there for English councils to learn from for their swelling immigrant populations - but hey who wants 2,000 'Relocation Facilitators' appointed - we're choked off with taxes here direct and indirect. Yes - I think one third of our wages goes in tax -so don't expect to earn anything in April, May and June, because that's how much tax you will pay in a year!

considering may be a results of the prosperous controlling a decrease proportion of the rustic's money. If one hundred % of the countries wealth have been interior the palms of the astounding a million%, then they'd pay one hundred% of the complete tax receipts, regardless of how low their expenditures have been. Then your question to liberals interior the completely broke ninety 9% would be "why are you complaining, the prosperous are paying one hundred% of complete tax receipts. See what I propose? In different words, the astounding a million% below Clinton possessed much less of the countries wealth than the astounding a million% below Bush. So even nonetheless the tax fee replaced into greater below Clinton, it nonetheless led to much less standard % of revenues through fact the quantity of wealth held by potential of the astounding a million% replaced into much less. Conversely, even nonetheless the tax fee replaced into decrease for the astounding a million% below Bush, they nonetheless paid a extra robust % in complete tax receipts considering they had so plenty extra wealth. The pass of wealth from the midsection to the better type extra suitable plenty below Bush that it overcame the decrease tax expenditures they had to pay and nonetheless led to a much better proportion of receipts.

That's a pretty good idea - I know the government publishes reports on their spending (with some ommissions I'm sure), but I, personally, would like to see where nearly half my income is ending up.
