Vacuum packing is the most effective way, although other means may work.
Freezing doesn't really work in this case, because marshmallows are some kind of gelling agent, sugar, and oftentimes egg whites. It doesn't really freeze well, and you just get cold marshmallows that get stale.

You could always try to buy a regular bag of marshmallows and see what the effect would be. I'm sure it would taste fine after they thaw out. By the way, they also come out around Halloween and Christmas, so you could have them sooner than you think.

You could freeze them but why would you? If you want to store them for long period of time I have heard it best to put them in Ziploc bag and use straw to remove all air as you press the bag flat. I guess you will not do any harm by putting them in a freezer as long as there is no moisture in the bag. If there is moisture you will have ice crystals and maybe some freezer burn damage. Freezer burn damage never tastes good.

You can always put them in the freezer and try. But the best way to keep marshmallows fresh is just to keep them sealed air tight in a bag. Also, the best way to eat them is over a camp fire. Yum o Yum.

Yes, but don't expect them to have the same quality and freshness that you'd get from an unfrozen bag.
