Well, DNA tests are a good negative test but not positive a DNA test will prove that you're not some ones kid, but won't actually prove that you are definately some one's kid, i hope that makes sense. So in that case, you can actually prove that your not related, but no way of actually definately proving you are related :)

Royalty is not a family, DNA needs a human person, at least.

Yep. There are some Mt DNA tests that can help trace you're lineage. Check out some of the genealogy websites.

no just trace your family back almost everyone from Europe is
there are not genetic markers available for the British royal families
obviously if you were a close relative then you have similar DNA to the royal family
