My friend is a freshman and her boyfriend is a senior. They've been going out for almost a month and kept it from her parents. Now that they found out they won't let her see or talk to him, and ordered that she broke up with him. Onlys he didn't. I don't blame them for being that way, but the senior isn't like most guys.

Is this a bad age?

nope, the girl im sorta seein now started to date when she was a frosh and i was a senior. its not THAT bad of an age, but the separation causes problems. the parents seem to be a tad overprotective tho. can u really blame em?

In my view the freshman is way too young to be dating anyone. Actually I don't know if you know this but it is illegal for any person eighteen or older to date someone under the age of eighteen. Since most seniors in high school are eighteen, or nineteen when they graduate that law is in effect. If her "boyfriend" is still seen flirting with her, that's fine however, if he does go on another date with her somehow then I would report him to the police.

Follow the parents advice and be friends until dating time is okay. If they care about each other like that the wait will be worth while anyway!!!!

Her parents have a right to say who their daughter dates. I think a high school freshman is too young to date, but I am not her father.

No I don't think so but I can see where her parents may be concerned. He is much older maybe she should have tried to introduce her boyfriend as a friend and let them get to know him.

if her parents don't know him, then it makes sense that they are worried because he is three years older. it would help if they get to know him a little more.

i know people who have this age difference and they get along fine. it really isn't that big.
