Try the "Scarsdale Medical Diet". Just google it and it will give you a week long list of food to eat. Combine this with cardio/weights 3x a week and you've got a surefire way to lose that weight. I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks on it. Keep in mind, you are not supposed to do this diet for more than 2 weeks consecutively. It is a great way to start eating better and acheive an over all healthier lifestyle! Trust me!

10 lbs. in five weeks is a snap. People have lost several times that amount in five weeks. However, it's going to take some discipline on your part.
Your diet obviously isn't working. In three weeks, you should have lost SOME weight. Depending on how overweight you were to start with, the first 10 is usually the easiest to lose (because it's mostly water weight). Either you're on a worthless fad diet, or (be honest here!) you're cheating, or you're just not eating properly (like skipping early meals and then gorging yourself on late dinners).
Just about any diet will be effective if combined with exercise. I know a lot of people who have had success with Weight Watchers, because it teaches you to count calories and portion control. However, if you aren't exercising and just cutting back on portion sizes and calories, you'll still lose weight, but very slowly. What happens is you reach a plateau, your body adjusts to less calories, and your metabolism actually slows down.
When you combine dieting with exercise, you will see the pounds and inches melt off, because exercise helps you speed up your metabolism (by replacing fat with muscle). Running, biking, swimming, dancing and aerobics are all great ways to lose pounds quickly. But you have to stick with it, every day for at least 20-30 minutes, and work up a good sweat for it to be effective. Even a brisk walk every day around the neighborhood (or regular sessions on the treadmill), combined with eating better, will help you drop those 10 lbs. fairly quickly.
True story: I used to commute to New York City from New Jersey on the bus, then walk about 15-20 minutes to work every day (and back to the bus station in the evening). Once I stopped working in the city and got a job where I could drive right to work, I quickly gained 10 lbs.

You can do this...2 lbs a week is very doable...cut out junk foods, fried food, sugar, sodas, etc...drink a lot of water...lower your calorie intake by a few hundred calories a day (no lower than 1500 though)...
Exercise...try for at least an hour a day, even if you have to break it up...walk, jog, aerobics....whatever you can do (something that'll get your heart going)...remember too, when you exercise and first start building muscle, you may see a slight increase in weight...don't get discouraged!
The increase is muscle being developed, and it weighs more than fat...however it also takes up less space...so even if you see the scales go up a pound or two, you should also notice your clothing become more loose.
Good luck!

eating right and working out for 30 minutes a day. Dieting alone can't make you lose weight. Try not to overexercise yourself since your metabolism will end up slowing down If you eat things like eggs and nuts and vegetables, you should end up losing a few pounds. I don't know how many, but maybe a few. :]
Or you can always go on the South Beach Diet. I hear that it's pretty good.
Good luck!

How serious are you dieting? You will need to watch your caloric intake and also exercise. Depending on what your current weight is will determine what you can have a day in calories. For example a female weighing 145 pounds can have `1500 calories a day to loose weight again along with exercising. Walking is good for loosing weight.

Depends on how much you weigh to start .....
You have to burn more calories than you eat....
so you will need to exercise like heck
or you can try fasting.....just drink Juices for 3-4 weeks. Then next 2 weeks eat lightly. Also Fasting once in awhile is good for your body. It forces your body to destory all the junky crappy cells to get energy.
Your body will be more streamlined.
P.S. The not eatting food part is kind of easy its the not having the energy part that is the tuffest part.

Drink lots of water, work out everyday. Get your heart rate up. You should be sweating. Don't eat junk food. If you crave sweets, reward yourself with a fun size bar after you've exercised. Cut back on carbs. Talk to your doctor, he might have good ideas.
Good luck!!

Be honest with yourself on this project. Eat right, no extras, no snacks. And get out and exercise. Drink lots of water. You can do it. You have to want to do it,and be honest.
