Red meat does not actually "cause" breast cancer but it can be a contributing factor. Another way of looking at it is: eating red meat can increase someones chances of getting cancer but there are many other factors that can contribute.

Women that don't eat red meat can get breast cancer, but it seems they are less likely to if everything else is equal.

I think it might have been mentioned in the study that the amount of red meat consumed plays a role.

Eating red meat will not mean that you will get cancer, and not eating red meat at all will not guarantee that it won't happen. The amount consumed is what is important.

This was proven 4 or 5 yrs ago. The Beef industry has been trying to shut in down. It isn't as much as the beef it is what they feed it. Many beef growers know this and some don't use it. Their beef packages will say NO GROWTH HORMONES.

When we continues to manipulate the food we eat we are asking for trouble. Beef is only the beginning.
