If you steam your face or make it very warm, your pores will temporarily open up a bit, making it easy to clean your face and then you can put cold ice or water on your face to zap them shut. The cold will only make your pores smaller for a short amount of time. You can not, although you may hope for a way, make your pores actually become bigger or smaller permanently or for an extended amount of time.

Hot water opens the pores and cold water can help close the pores. You have to use a pore scrub that suits your skin then wash off with cold or luke warm water to have effect.

Not really, it will just tighten them and make them appear smaller. Don't use cold water until after you have washed your face with soap and hot water, then use a blast of cold water after you have rinsed your face off to tighten and seal off your pores once they have been cleaned.

you cannot shrink your pores.. you can only make them appear larger or smaller or affect their absorbtion....
it is reccommended that you wash you face in warm water to increase the absorbtion and rinse in close water to close them off a bit.... but it doesn't shrink your pores nor make them larger by cold or hot water.
It's the same as shaving your legs in warm water... doesn't make your pores bigger just makes the hair and skin softer and more succeptible to the shave

Pores do not change size, they can appear smaller or larger.

Your pores appear larger because they are clogged & need to be cleaned out. A "facial steamer" works!

OR steam your face over a pot of boiled water,(remove fr stove area), cover your head with a towel as you hold your face over the steam from the boiled water. Your skin will love u for it.
Do this at least once a week.

heat, like the one from a shower or sauna will open your pores
