After I downloaded Kodak Easyshare software it automatically downloaded Bonjour. I'm not sure what it is but it's making my computer take a long time to upload and a pop up states that my firewall is turned off even after I checked that my firewall is on. Can anybody tell me why this is happening?

Bonjour is a networking product designed to control various items linked or available to your computers network.... like your digital camera (i'm assuming since you downloaded easyshare software). It should like bonjour is hogging your system resources. You should disable or uninstall it.

Do you have more than one firewall, and are you checking the firewall through the control panel (microsoft)? Also check to see if you have programs running in the "background" look in your system tray, anthing you see there is running in the background all of the time you are powered-up. If the programs shown there are not crirical to your PC's function, right -click and turn them off, this will "free-up" your system some. Lstly are you using dial-up or dsl, that makes a lot of difference in speed and performance and also how much memory do you have on your PC? minimum should be 512 Mb but 1G is better still, try backnig up files that you have saved, pictures take up a lot of memory so put them on CD. hope these suggestions help you.

I have had issues with kodak software also. check "add remove programs" and remove the suspected software. there is a good free program that you can download free called 'crap cleaner' that has a very helpfull feature called 'fix issues' that should fix the problem, you could also download a program called 'ad-aware'. this is another free program that will get rid of unwanted "sleeper" programs. just do a simple web search for both and choose the free one. good luck, let me know if this was helpfull
