I would suggest that she see's a Dr again for a check up things can change. Everyone gets depressed, but comatose like depression on a regular basis is NOT everyday depression.

Depression breeds on isolation and inactivity. I struggle with it myself. I've found it helpful to be physically active, and go to bed and get up earlier rather than later. With winter approaching, the amount of daylight available is limited. Getting up earlier makes the day seem brighter. If she has personal goals and a schedule to follow it will help her. If she can get out and be around other people it would benefit as well.
Eating a little more and eating regularly help keep the blood sugar levels up and will give energy. There may be an underlying personal issue that she's struggling with. Talking things out is good, even just writing thoughts down on a piece of paper can be theraputic.

Ignoring depression isn't going to make it go away. It is an illness that needs treatment just like you would go to a Dr. to get medical treatment. She needs to see a therapist or psychologist for talk therapy. The only way she can get out from under this dark cloud is to find the source of it and deal with that. Only a professional should attempt this. Just be supportive of her and let her know you are there for her.

All the other suggestions about pro help and comfort I agree with.In addition to that make sure you watch her as much as possible in case she gets suicidal.Don't ask her stupid questions like where are you going, what are you doing now and following her constantly around the house it's annoying.

I'm sorry for the situation you're in, hun.
But I think all you can do for now is just hold her and hug her (well try to at least) and always say "I'm always here for you no matter what." It makes me feel positive when people say that to me. :)

Tell her this: "Please don't be upset. It hurts me to see you this way because I don't know how to help you That scares me because I feel like it's my job to protect you. When your sad I feel like I'm falling short."

No problem, Bro. Master Class will tell you how to cheer her up. When she is in bed, go up to her and say 'Baby, you know you are the only retard who can make me happy, so what can I do to make you happy'
