Can I have a kid put down for attacking my dog?
(I don't have a dog, but I hate it when people think it's ok to kill an animal just because a kid pissed it off and got attacked).

Considering how assinine my question is, think about it. To some people, a pet is equal to having a kid. I don't think pet owners would want someone attacking their pets.

The dog is not to blame but the ignorant owners who do not have that dog trained.

i dont agree with the kid part. but i see where u are comming from and i agree with what you are saying. i have seen my parents dog go off at people especially kid's because my little cousin tormented to poor little thing. I AGREE WITH YOU 100%%

I know where you are coming from, though my views are slightly different. I love all animals, but Especially dogs. THey are my life. And pitbulls are my favorite breed. I have heard a lot of talk about how ALL pitbulls should be put down because some of them attack people. This is where i have the problem, people putting blame on an entire breed or just any dogs in general. Any dog can attack, so don't blame one breed. Blame the owners of the dog. It is their fault for either training their dog to be aggressive, or being careless with a dog that they know has aggressive tendencies for whatever reason. If a dog at some point in his life bites a person for self defense, then it is COMPLETELY unfair to put that dog down. That would be like putting a person down for showing self defense. It's not fair. BUT, it a dog Attacks, or KILLS someone unprovoked then i think it should be euthanized. This animal is now considered Dangerous. I believe this because it could happen again, and there is no guarenteed way to keep this dog completely confined from other people and other animals. I know it is sad to have to do that to ANY animal, but i think it is necessary in this case.

I think the dog's owners should be punished as well as the kid's parents for not keeping an eye on their kids. It makes me angry too to just blame the dog. I recently read about an attack on a small kid and the dog's owner was out of town! That guy should be blamed as well as the guardians of the child. People should keep better watch at their dogs and kids!

some kids like dogs dont know any better so no the kid should not be put down the dog shouldnt either unless it is considered vicious and will attack someone for no reason at alli agree with you its NOT the dogs fault most of the time when it attacks its how it was raised by STUPID HUMANS! SAD THAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO RESORT TO TREATING THEIR ANIMALS SO BAD THAT THEY ACTUALLY START ATTACKING ANY HUMAN IT SEES! GOOD LUCK GOD BLESS

Maybe they should put down the owners. Dogs rarely attack children unless they are provoked, as far as putting them down, no not unless the animals has had previous problems, they should however be kept for observation, which is law most everywhere around. Most attacks are generated by the child, which I might add is unsupervised. Oh what about the parents?

no but i do thing a dog should be put down for attacking a kid because once they get the taste of blood they will keep killing
i was attacked by my Friends dog and i was playing on the swing set when i was 9 years old so its not alway the kids fault.

Well you can have a kid charged with animal cruelty in Juvenal Court.
And yes I advocate putting down a dog that attacks a child (actually I advocate putting down a dog with a bad temperament BEFORE it attacks a child)

There is a difference in a dog attacking and child and a dog biting one. An attack is something vicious and usually life threathing if not fatal. Would you want to see your child bitten and mauled by a dog? I think not. But children who tease and bother a dog deserve to get nipped at.

I have three dogs and none are aggressive but they very well could be..the first thing the owner needs to do is train the dog to where it fits into the family...I love my dogs dearly...if one of them attack me or one of my family members yes I would put it down.for this reason it has become aggressive...if one of my dogs would attack someone else child I would first have to ask what that child did to my dogs...because I have raise them to genlte with child...I would fight the fight to not have it put down....But then again I don't let other people around my dogs....

I have had dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, goats and more. I love animals. But if it was your child that was attacked by someones dog and had his face permanently scarred, or was otherwise difigured, how would you feel then?
