It is called ringworm but there is no worm in it. Fungal disease. Shows a red circular spot and sometimes itchs. Very contagious. Ringworm can be treated with fungal creams and lotions on the body. Ringworm in the scalp has to be treated with Grisoflucan antibiotics prescribed by your doctor.

Ringworm is a fungus. You can get ringworm from animals or it can be airborne. You can also get it from using contaminated towels that someone with ringworm has used. Kind of like Athletes foot, in the same family. Do a search on ringworm. I had though I had it on my tummy, turns out I am forming an allergy to my belt buckle and the back side of my pants buttons.

Ringworm is actually a fungus, not a worm. It is spread by contact. Treatment is application of a fungicide.

That's the short version. I'm sure someone else will give you a link for more information if needed.

It's a fungus that looks like a red almost complete circle on the skin. You can get it from animals. Get an antifungal cream that specifies that it can treat ringworm.
