In regards to the music personally I'm sick of only ever hearing edited rap songs before games so when I work out i prefer a nice heavy System Of A Down song or even a good intense techno beat like the classic Sandstorm.

For working out it all comes down to strength training. You don't wan tto build huge muscle because it'll just make it that harder to get up in the air. For strength training you should find a weight that you are comfortable with and do three sets of 8-10 reps. Make sure you are still feeling the burn but not to the point where you fail to complete the set. Your best bet is to go every other day and always make sure you have a rest day (usually sunday). You should also work out only certain groups of muscles on certain days. For example work out your triceps, back and thighs one day and your biceps, forearms, abs and calves the next and so one for the next day. You can get more specific for the muscle groups as well. Running is another important part even though you may think there isn't a whole lot of running in vball, trust me it really helps. But probably the buggest thing of all is to get out on the days you're not hitting the gym and actually play. It's be better to get a serious game but if thats not possible messing around with our friends will do. Lastly make sure you cut out junk food from your diet. Working out will do nothing for you unless you eat healthy too.

Black Eyed Peas - Monkey Business
Daft Punk - Discovery (One More Time, Digital Love, Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger are three great songs from that cd. Personally, I love the whole CD.)

As for some tips, I exercise to one whole CD (most of those CD's last one hour) So I know I worked out for an hour. Switch lower body workouts with Upper body workouts for maximum effect. And eat three square meals with fruits in between for snacks. Good Luck!

Something like Fergie's new song, or like JT's song. Those kind of up-beat Techno songs are pretty rad!
