To get your mind off food you should think about me. You ask this question like you'r fat. YOU'R NOT FAT! You can eat less by talking or doing things with me :)

step 1: Drink tea. I strongly recommend Green tea because not only does it take your mind off of food, but it also boosts your metabolism which makes you less hungry.

step 2: Walk your dog or yourself. A quick 15 minute walk wouldn't hurt, right? Even if its walking around the house, at least you're getting the blood flow moving.

step 3: Read a book. Studies have shown reading books is the number 1 healthiest distraction because it gets your mind off food, it helps your brain hold more information, it make you sleepy at night, and energized in the morning.

step 4: Call a Friend or a Family Member. If you Call Someone, Maybe You Could Talk About a Day Out and Get Away From That Food Cabinet.

step 5: Study! I know, i know, it's never fun, but it really gets your mind off of everything and helps you ace that test!

step 6: last, but not least, play a sport! I think dancing is the best because you don't have to sign up to do it, you can just blast some music and start jumpin' up and down!

Always remember you are beautiful and it doesn't matter what you look like, you should just think of a diet as living longer and having a healthy body instead of looking good.

The term "fat" is just a name that is used and shouldn't be taken offensively because you obviously aren't fat. You should tell them to watch 'My 600 Pound Life' and say "who you callin' fat.."

Will power and self control. You've got to want to be fit and healthy, more than you want that .

Distract yourself when you feel the urge to nibble...read, do some situps, go for a walk, SOMEthing other than nibble.

Perhaps if you switch to 6 small meals a day, instead of 3 large ones. More meals is thought to be more healthy anyway...keep them to around 300-ish calories each. If you eat every 2 hrs during the day (8am, 10am, noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm) then you're less likely to get hungry in between and snack. Make the meals healthy choices...but also treat yourself once in a while.

Don't keep junk foods or sodas in the house. If they aren't easy to get to, hopefully you'll eat less of them. Drink lots of water...it will give you a full feeling (temporarily) and help flush out your system, and it's good for your skin too!

Finally, exercise if you want to lose weight. A good diet, combined with physical activity, will help you get to where you want to be!

Avoid anything that will get you eating, like I know I eat when I watch tv, so I instead try to read or walk or I do something to not allow myself to snack. To eat heathier I would substitute potato chips for rice cake (quaker makes the best) or I usually eat carrot sticks because I have issues with the crunchiness!! But moderation is key, I love food myself and I know with moderation and exercise that worked an equal balance for me.

Activities- things that you can do that keep your hands occupied- try playing a computer game or nintendo game and you can get into it for hours.

If you want to snack while watching tv try:
Pomegranites- it takes a long time to get all the seeds out
Carrots & low fat dip
Pretzels & popcorn (less cal & fat than chips)
