she has a bad habit of picking her belly button ... she pulls it and then it becomes an outtie. for some reason once she discovered it she cant leave it alone. ive tried everything ... i also tried putting tape on her belly button. whats the worst that can happened if she keeps picking at it other then an infection? any other tips on how i can stop her? thanks!

Put one peice outfits on her so she can't get to it and maybe she will start checking something else out for a while. My son started putting his fingers in his ears until he discovered tht there were holes in his nose (lol).

It's new and exciting. Try not to make too big of a deal out of it. She will find something else soon and forget about the belly button. If you see her do it calmly tell her to put her shirt down and then distract her. Ask her to come and help you or see if she want to play a game with you. It is very normal. They only thing I can think of is that she will be able to make her innie an outtie at will.

This is just a phase... once toddlers discover their belly button, it is a source of fascination for a while. Nothing bad can happen from playing with her belly button. Toddlers just naturally find the parts of their body to explore!

I always put onesies on my 23 month old daughter for that EXACT reason!

I think she is just experimenting and learning more about her body. It's harmless. Soon she will divert her attention to something else, hopefully external to her body lol.

you know my cousin use to do that too, and it got out alot. maybe
you should give your doughter another habit. how bout giving her
a chew toy. but don't worry this is common for babys.

dont worry, just dont let her start picking at her pipi hole and her asss because it can become an addiction for her.
