When you ask just keep in mind that parents have been around & they've seen & heard a lot. They will know when you are trying to butter them up or pull one over on them. It's best to just be honest. Give the best reasons you possibly can for why you should be allowed to do it. And remember, if they say no it's because they love you and they know what's best for you.

Ask two things. The first one is out of the question. For example, " A bunch of my friends want to have a sleep over party, boys and girls, can I go?"
When they say no to that then ask your real question, "Well then, can I go to a party with my girlfriend and stay out til 10? "

As a parent, I'd say have a dang good argument. Prove that you reeeeeeally truly want to do this, and show that you've made a good argument, with facts, figures and 8X10 glossy photo's with lines and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one ;)

Ask, and have reasons for why you want to do what you want to do, if they say no it might be for a good reason it all depends on what you are planning to ask.

This is such the WRONG thing to be telling you, but....sometimes it is better to ask forgiveness than it is permission. Lets see if you get that.

so many teenagers are in this whole fear of asking phase. you need to be in the TELLING phase. TELL your parents what you are going to do, just be responsible. What are they going to do, ground you. Then you tell them NO. You teenagers let your damn parents have too much power

Ask anyway. The worst they can do is tell you no.
