In addition to the above posts, Ecuador has amazing and beautiful beaches. "Ruta del Sol" (the Route of the Sun) is a beautiful highway that runs parallel to the Pacific Ocean where you will be able to visit nice beach towns and find delicious seafood, beautiful waves for surfing, friendly people and total relaxation. Pack your bags because Beach Season is coming...

It is the best country in S.America and I have visited them all. I even went twice to Equador.
Has amazing scenery, I stayed in a cloudforest, a rainforest, fished for paranas, climbed a volcano, saw another one blow (Tunguroa in 1999) caught fish in the Pacific, took a train ride whilst sat on the roof, did whitewater rafting, enjoyed thermal pools, went to great markets (go to Otovalo), met great people, studied Spanish...................
What more could you ask for.........this is what makes Equador the best place to visit!!
