why do so many "older folk" who are human doodles with tattoos knock youngsters with piercings?

i watched "grumpy old men" once and they were moaning about piercings, yet there arm was covered with tattoos.I have both but there are more reasons not to get a tattoo than a piercing.

face piercings are only ugly on ugly people. The only thing ive ever regretted is stretching my lobes.Back in the day ink wasnt as good so alot of people are left with green tattoos that look like theyve bleed,id rather have a little dot on my lip than a green dragon down my arm.

That's so true. I was at work (I have numerous piercings on my face- 3 in each lobe, 2 in my upper cartilage, 1 in my lower cartilage, munroe, lip and nose, but they are all small studs except the cartilage ones) and this older gentleman stared at me very rudely and said 'You look horrendous!'

Meanwhile, he sported 3 extremely ugly botched tattoos of tasteless green naked women on his arms.

That really bugs me. I can take my piercings out when I don't want them anymore. How has he explained the porno permanently etched onto his arm to his grandchidren?

Sometimes they regret the tattoos they have or believe they got them back when a tattoo actually "meant something". They view body piercing as a fad (you can't deny that it turned into one) and they assume most people only want one because it's the 'cool' thing to do. In 40 years, kids are going to wonder why all the older folk with piercings knock all the youngsters with mechanical limbs.

am ready to get a tattoo. get as many as desired -- so long as they are a murals whilst positioned-in combination (ie; no longer a caricature person with significant, historical symbols). piercings: tongue & "genitalia" piercings don't seem to be kewl. i really like high-quality, complimentary piercing(s) -- comparable to, a number of rings for every ear; through the wall of the nostril within the nook by way of the entrance (might be a culture in india?). however a hoop or "wand" through each nostrils is gross, detracting from ones traditional well appears. i opt for tattoos wherein they may be able to be noticeable. finally, is not that the factor to exhibit your message or signal of identification? (for illustration: again of palms; among elbow & wrist; at the chest around the clavicle field). my tattoo can be among the elbow and wrist; a moment could be at the different arm, identical position.

My pa has 5 tattoos and he was very upset when my brother (has 7), my sister (1) and I (2) all got tattoos. He regrets every one of them and believes we will too.

It is also about present-ability. Not many places will hire my brother because several of his tattoos show. Mine are hideable if I'm careful. However, 9 out of my 10 piercings show and not many establishments are open to the idea.

Interesting point. You can take out piercings if you wish... but tatoos are a little more difficult to cover up.

they do it because they feel like they made a mistake and they didn't realize it was a mistake until they got older...the question you should be asking yourself is why do you care?
