This is my 4th pregnancy. Im 20 weeks and still sleep on my back. I never did with the others, but this one I do. They say it is better not to, but Im sure as I get bigger, Ill stick to sleeping on my left side most of the time.

Right now you can sleep on your back. As the baby gets bigger if you lie on your back the baby will lay on the arteries that goes to your heart. You might lightheaded and/or might have trouble catching your breath.
You will know when the time comes to lie on your left side( that is the side that is open of arteries and best for the pressure of the baby to be) because you will feel uncomfortable.
When the time comes, if you are most comfortable sleeping on your back, you can put a large pillow under your hip bone so your shoulders and neck stay straight, like of you were laying on your back but your torso will be sideways.

Depends. Some women can't sleep on their back because they feel they cannot breathe properly, and that actually happens to all of us when we're pregnant. Nothing bad will happen. But I'll tell you what the most comfortable way to sleep when your pregnant is on the side with a pillow between your legs. But it's all up to you and the way you feel allright

You shouldn't sleep on your back in the third trimester (starting at 27 weeks) because the uterus sits on a big artery and can decrease blood flow to the baby. For now you're fine.

Sleeping on your back later in pregnancy will cause you to have terrible backaches. The best way to sleep is on your side with a pillow between your knees. I also liked to have a pillow right behind me and right next to my belly.

It won't do anything to you but it maybe uncomfortable. The bigger you get the harder it will be to sleep on you back, you won't be able to breath. As for now I say go ahead while you can. Just to be sure you should check with your doc.

Sleep how you feel most comfortable. If hanging upside down is comfy to you, just do it.
