This may be silly and I may be paranoid but.... I have an extremely sensititve sea food allergy. It is not simply shell fish like most people--it is all fish. If I smell fish, I will get sick. I have noticed that sea salt is in alot of dishes and was told that it was healthier for me; however I am nervous that I will have an allergic reaction to it. Can I be allergic to sea salt?

Salt is necessary for life but like everything, if you abuse it will be bad for you.

I use sea salt all the time. It is cleaned just like regular salt is. You could be allergic to it. I have a niece that is allergic to it and she puffs up like a blow fish.

No sea salt is really good for you. It can reduce inflammation inside and outside of the body because of its natural properties. Its better than iodized salt.

Sea salt has minerals from the sea, but not necessarily those of fish.

if u mean sea water, yes, you will go delusional and see fata morganas(mirages) and even die if u drink enough but if u mean
sea salt like the kind they sell in stores i agree with Jean Paul.

not sure if you may be alergic to sea salt?

try a extreemly small amount, I mean small, ok, and see if you feel ill or if some things starts to go weird.

large amounts are not a good idea any way.
I think it is best to keep it as small as you can, if you use it at all.

Ask your doc before trying it.

We love it! We get the coarse kind and grind it in the grinder, it has a less salty taste - it's wonderful.
