I think what the right thing to do is find a way to talk to him and explain to him that the reason you lied was so his feelings didnt get hurt...would he rather have had his best friend try to get him to stop liking a girl OR get crushed my the girl...i think that would be a true friend....and if he doesnt wanna listen or still ignores you after words then maybe he likes to get crushed

I am not here to rag on you but you really shouldn't have lied in the first place. You should have just said Dude she doesn't like you and leave it at that. You have a lot of explaining to do to your friend. Let him know you did it to save him from the hurt feelings of being rejected but let him make the decision on if he is ready to talk to you. It can only be him who forgives and forgets. Hope it works out for you!

you shouldn't have lied to him in the first place..
i don't blame him fro not wanting to talk to you.. no affence or anything..
if you are truely best friends you would always no matter what be honest wit each other... and that means no matter WHAT!
why did you lie to him and what did you tell him...
if he likes a girl that don't like him that is his problem not your and you shouldn't but into his personal life.. you can't make any decisons for anyone else..
i don't mean to sound like bossybut seriously think how you would feel if you were him

How would you have liked it if the roles were reversed? Shame on you for lying to your best friend and shame on her for not being honest and telling him up front that she was not interested.

No, you're not his best friend--you've been lying to him. He'll never ever really trust you again and who could blame him??

you at the instant are not nuts yet your buddy is. i certainly think of he likes you and not your boyfriend. It sounds like he's overly conserving and the pizza replaced into him attempting to furnish the guy of project yet he only hates him through fact he's with you and he needs to guard you and be with you himself. it is my handle this occasion a minimum of. stable success with this.

Apparently you weren't that good of friends. My friends don't do such things and neither do I. Learn from your mistakes. Apologize, admit you were wrong, and don't expect him to be friends with you anymore. Most importantly learn from your mistakes. We have all been there.

Was the lie to spare his feelings or did you encourage him?
