so let's say there's this guy Eric. and he is in one of my classes. now i'm really nice to everyone, so i tried being friends with eric this year. and all of a sudden he's helping me with homework, staying after school with me, and he even gave me his phone number and said i should call him if i need more homework help. i doubt he wants anything, cuz he's always staring at me in class too,
right now i was just talking to him online, and he wasn't really replying, so i asked him what was up and he said that he was being distracted, by another girl. so i said he should go talk to her because i'm obviously in the way... and he left. what's that all supposed to mean?

Eric doesn't want to get entangled with any jealousy fits. Don't play the victim by saying you are in the way. Just be patient and understanding and upbeat. He will admire that in you. Then, he will, in his own time, search you out.

It sounds to me that this guy likes you and wanted you to try and stop him from being distracted by this girl. He gave you his number to let you know that he is interested in you! Do you like him? If you do, you can let him know. Don't say too much just start to show more interest in him. There might not have even been a girl there with him. He could have been saying that just to see what you were gonna say or do. You failed that test but he'll give another since he likes you!
Next time you talk to him> SHOW SOME INTEREST! Not too much, but enough to make him secure that you are indeed feeling him!!:)

It could be because he feels like you didn't get his hints and he gave up, because he wants to make you jealous, or maybe he meant nothing by it and was just annoyed that you were taking it so seriously. Also, maybe he got kicked off or something. You never know. Try talking to him about it. Or give him some space and see how things go from there.

Sounds to me like Eric is a player.The kind that always needs to no if this one doesn't work out then he just turns to the other one he has been talking to on line.

Well, I think he likes you. Just see how he acts in class tomorow. Also, if your liking a guy you should be on the phone with him, not chatting thats soooo not personal. Get to know him real well first you guys can chat later.

She is more than likely doing things on the computer with him that you aren't. This other girl is probably an internet girlfriend and lives far away. In school, your convienent, so he gives you his attention then.

well it means that he doesnt like you more then a friend and that he wants to give the other girl a chance cause he really likes her and just follow your heart and theres a quote saying dont leave the one you love for the one you like because they will leave you for the one they love!!
